Work has me by the neck. A software driven company where I manage the results provided by our development staff. When the development staff does not get their work done I'm still the first line to take blows from my client.
Today we had the wonderous case of the missing email. I stayed late last night to help accomplish a task. Of course despite my enthusiasm I am told that progress was not made and that the SQL files has not been sent to the server admin. He leaves and I vent my frustration on my cubicle. This morning we have the grand discovery of the missing email and of course the swearing up and down that it wasn't in his inbox the night before.
So now everything is code red and we scramble to pull the miracle out of our hat.
