So Conan was a blast, weekend BBQ went well, Mothers day was charming to say the least.
The only downside to this stupendous of weekends would be the little visit I paid to the doctor. I have been informed that I have extremely high cholesterol levels. Direct quote from the Doc “How old are you? You know what, if it tastes good don’t eat it! You need to eat nothing but rabbit food for the next three months. If you don’t get this down we will be forced to put you on medication.”
Raised Italian my diet tends to consist of primarily red meats and pasta. It’s what I like, its about all I will regularly eat. Typical or safe LDL (bad cholesterol) when measured scores about 80 on some scale unbeknownst to myself. What I do know is that I scored a 155. Ouch, double the recommended limit.
So dietary times they are a changing. Adios fast food lunches. Today I had imported from casa Van Yzendoorn a very sensible salad and a cut up chicken breast. Add some baby carrots and cherry tomatoes and yum yum.
It’s fun when you don’t have a choice but the idea that I will have to go through this summer season of BBQ’s and beer blasts eating salad and removing beer equals a rough three months ahead.
Even worse after this I will have to use moderation. UGH!! Come back to me my 17 year metabolism. You could do no wrong.
And now for kicks a little spammer poetry.
